We're ready to take the challenge!

We are already somewhat of a skiing duo and have been known to take on some level of adventure (or mis-adventure) each winter. Therefore, weather permitting, we are going to attempt an out and back Bolton to Trapps 18 mile ski tour in one day. This will be our first time doing this tour, so you will motivate us to complete it! In the event mother nature has other thoughts, we are going to ski the same distance on trails at Bolton over the period of the challenge.

The Vermont Backcountry Challenge is an opportunity to give back to the backcountry community here in Vermont. The CTA has spent the last 35+ years working to protect our wild spaces, make possible amazing outdoor winter experiences, and expand access to the outdoors for all communities. This work enhances the lives of every person in Vermont and is a large part of why Vermont is such a wonderful place to spend time.
